Joseph E. Santucci, Jr.

Joseph E. Santucci, Jr. is Senior Counsel at Schwartz Hannum PC. Prior to joining the Firm, Joe was a Partner at Morgan Lewis in its Washington, DC office from 1993 until 2015.

 

A nationally-renowned labor and employment law attorney, Joe has extensive experience advising clients with collective bargaining, labor and employment counseling and litigation, and arbitration. During his legal career, he has negotiated national, industry and local collective bargaining agreements in a variety of industries and with most labor unions. Joe has served clients in the energy, transportation, food service, shipping, technology, manufacturing, and government contracting industries.

 

Joe was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as a conferee to the White House Conference for a Drug-Free America. He has also served as Associate General Counsel for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in Washington, DC, as an attorney and advisor to the National Labor Relations Board, and as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center. Joe has been consistently named by Legal 500 as a Leading Lawyer for Labor-Management Relations. Best Lawyers in America© named him the 2016 Labor Law - Management "Lawyer of the Year" in Washington, DC, and Best Lawyers in New England© named him 2017 Labor Law - Management "Lawyer of the Year" in Boston MA. He is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.  Joe is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Joe serves on the Board of Directors of the Maria Mitchell Association, a not-for-profit organization located in Nantucket, MA, that is devoted to honoring and promoting the legacy of Maria Mitchell, the nation’s first female astronomer. Joe also serves as the Board’s Clerk.
